Custom Index Tabs

Our company was founded as a full service commercial printer. What this means for you is that we can provide any level of printing that you require. From single side black tab text to 2-sided, full color, full coverage with bleed.

PAPER CHOICES:  Pretty much anything under the sun. Tell us your requirements and let us suggest the appropriate stock.

DIGITAL PRINTING: For shorter run jobs we offer high quality digital printing. The advantage here is the low cost of setup and quick turn times.

OFFSET PRINTING:  For longer run jobs or jobs requiring specific spot colors that can not be reproduced digitally. There is a higher setup cost but there's also economy of scale and additional paper options that cannot be run digitally.

Either way, give us your job specs. and we will recommend the most cost effective method to save you time and money.

There are several options that we offer to enhance the durability of your index tabs.

MYLAR TABS:  Applied in-line with the tab cutting operation, this is a cost effective solution to offer protection the the tab area.

LAMINATION:  Single-sided or double-sided lamination is offered from 1.2 mil - 10 mil thickness with a range of finish options. Sspecialty laminates such as BioLam and the popular Softouch are amiable as well.

BINDING REINFORCEMENT:  Primarily for use with 3-ring binders. This can be in the form of a Mylar strip running the length of the sheet or can be grommets around each hole as required.

The options here are nearly limitless. From 2-bank to 12-bank. Left, right top our bottom. Even custom shaped tabs can be created and diecut on our letterpresses.

Drilling options for ring binders abound as well. We can accommodate any standard or custom drilling requirements that you job may require.

There are tabs and then there are TABS! Our Letterpress department opens up a number of options to really make your Index Tabs standout.

DIE CUTTING:  Custom tab shapes, sizes and positions are possible along with die cut windows or even fully die cut pages.

FOIL STAMPING:  Need the text on the tabs to shine? Foil is great option to really attract attention.

EMBOSSING:  Need to raise a portion of the sheet? Send us the copy or graphic and we will let you know what's possible.

SCORING:  For Index Tabbed Folders, we can apply a single score and fold or multiple scores resulting in a variable width gusset.

Of course we can collate your tabs. More than that though we are able to do assembly to integrate additional items or groups of sheets.

That assembly can then be shrink-wrapped in completed packets or inserted into ring binders. And to round out the process, those packs or binders can be boxed into sets and blind shipped to your end user.

Ring Binders are one of the most popular binding options when it comes to Index Tabs. But several other options are available.

PLASTICOIL:  A very popular mechanical binding method that allows the book to lay completely flat. The coil comes in many sizes and colors so let us know what you need.

WIRE-O:  Similar to PlastiCoil but the material is metal instead of plastic.

PERFECT BINDING:  This is a glue binding like what is used for softcover books. We provide both EVA and PUR options and will use whichever will be best for your particular product.

TAPE BINDING:  This binding method adds to the strength and look of Perfect Binding. The materials are first glued together and then a reinforcing tape is applied to the bound edge, wrapping over to the front and back covers.
